Dads are the Original Hipsters

Your dad dated hipster girls before you did and they never admitted to being on a date with him to prove it. His elusive prey was often found non-commitally dancing to obscure bands in dive bars you’ve never heard of. With tin can courage coursing through his veins, he mentally seduced them into his arms with hypnotizing talk of conceptual art, European Noir movies and a library like knowledge of all things wrote. Then, once he got sick of them, he recycled them back into the wilds of singlehood for lesser men to date. He continued this cycle for years, until he met your mom and ring locked himself to her.

So hipster’s offspring, next time you’re getting rejected over a tall boy by a triangle loving, feather-wearing female, remember this…

Your dad would have her buying him drink by night’s end.
