Your dad had a birthday before you did and he’s got a candle filled cake to prove it. You bet your skinny fucking Levi’s you wish you were half the hipster your dad was. He’s been shit kicking life for more than double the decades you have. He’s rocked man manes, grown lip sweaters that inspired Tom Selleck’s signature stache, travelled to France and taken nonsensical photos with country side milk vixens, listened to obscure bands and drank the French version of PBR. His perennial all balls, no helmet, culture consuming, crispy fashion sense inspired your generation and you don’t even give him credit for it.

So hipsters, next time you’re unenthusiastically singing him the birthday song because you think it’s too “mainstream,” remember this…
