Dads are the Original Hipsters

Your dad was apathetic before you were and he could give two shits that he’s up on my blog right now to prove it. Nothing fired him up with excitement back in the day. Hell, he could have received a personal invitation from Heff to the Playboy mansion for a cocaine-bunny-sex-orgy-laser show and he would’ve RSVP’ed with “maybe.” He was the most interesting man in the world who was uninterested with the entire world and each day he rose with the same force as a “meh.” He’s never made plans in his entire life, things just sort of happened and he arrived places. 

So hipsters, next time you’re laying around wasting days in a park while not committing to any plans for the day because nothing seems worth doing or not showing any emotion because emotions are a mainstream human reaction, remember this… 

Your dad was so apathetic that he didn’t even give a shit that you were born.
