Your dad knew how to casually drink during the week before you did and he’s killed the bottles of Jack to prove it. He was a hedonist who lived his life at a volume so loud that your ears would bleed from hearing his stories. He never under-indulged. His quiet evenings in whiskey-raged harder than your drunkest Saturday nights out. He was excess embodied because he knew that we’re here for a good time, not a long time.

So hipsters, this week when you’re getting shitty on a school night off a sixer of PBR and then calling in sick the next day to work because you’re hungover, remember this…

Your dad never missed work or admitted to ever being hungover because they were signs of weakness and he didn’t have any weaknesses.
